The dojo
From Chiki
The Dojo is a large building in CHERUB campus, where Cherubs learn martial arts. The building was completed in 2002, and was a gift from the Japanese government.A dojo is a Japanese term which literally means "place of the Way". Originally, dojo were associated with temples. The term can refer to a formal training place for any of the Japanese arts but typically it is considered the formal place of training for students of a martial art, examinations and other related activities.
The concept of a dojo as a martial arts training place is a Western concept; in Japan, any physical training facility, including professional wrestling schools may be called dojos as well depending on the context.
martial arts taught in the dojo include: karrate, judo and Muay-Thia.
Within CHERUB the dojo is primarily used for martial arts training which is mandatory for all cherub agents. It is also used for competitions many of which have been dominated by Bruce Norris. Cleaning the dojo, its equipment and changing rooms is a punishment regularly used a deterrent for bad behaviour on cherub campus.--Barnabus user:cheatafist13:06, 25 June 2008 (BST)
