CHERUB: The Killing' is the fourth book in the CHERUB series, released in October 2005 in the UK, Australia and New Zealand by Hodder Children's Books, and in August 2006 in the US by Simon and Schuster.

Plot

The book starts with James Adams and Shak on a mission in Cambridge. They were investigating George Stein an economics teacher that has links to Help Earth. When James gets back on Campus he's the head of a group in a training excercise with people Lauren, Bethany, Dana and Jake etc. After beating up Andy Lagan when Kerry dumps him, James is punished with the job of cleaning the mission preparation building until he finds Joshua (zara's son) and takes him into zara's office and millie is there and want him to go on a mission. One month later, he is delighted to find himself on a routine mission with Dave get information on Leon Tarasov and his brother, which has been declared low-risk by the CHERUB Ethics Committee. However, the mission soon unravels into more than anyone could expect, and the truth can only be found in a reclusive eighteen-year-old boy named Will Clarke. The thing is, Will fell to his death thirteen months before.Their biggest breakthrough is when James gets Will's computer from Will's cousin Hannah(his girlfriend) inside the computer they find marijuana, money,and a cd. The cd shows to be a truesure trove of information but they need some conffesions so John Jones set up a huge surveillence systym and crank up the tension between Leon Tarasov and soon to be enemie Michael Patel.
