Moderator

A Moderator (mod for short, also called an Instructor), is a member of CHERUB Forums who has been given powers (usually by Rob) to ensure the enforcement of rules on the forums. Unlike Global Moderators, whose powers extend over every board on the forums, moderators are assigned to a specific board on the forums, and can only exercise their power on that board.
Among a moderator's enforcement duties is often the duty to stop flaming and keep the board a friendly place, free of personal insults (generally Moderators decide what in an acceptable insult and what is not). They also help keep illegal material off the forum and, due to the Proboards Terms of Service, also stop any pornography from being posted on the forum and many (but not all, it depends on that mod) also restrict the use of swear words and any violent or sexual images and/or text. Moderators have the power to sticky, lock, move, edit and delete threads or posts.
