Meatball is Zara's pet dog. He was rescued from Vernon's Animal Breeders by animal rights activists, along with many other beagle puppies. Lauren looked after him until he could be found a home, and named him "Meatball". She ended up keeping him until the end of her mission, when she had to give him up as only red-shirts can have pets. He was given to Zara as she has two young children who would be happy to have a pet, and it meant that Lauren could still walk him if she wanted. He was recently threatened by Large, who attempted to kick down Zara's door and "wring his little neck", however this plan was foiled by Lauren and Kyle.
Meatball had to undergo a throat operation in The Fall after swallowing some Lego bricks left on the floor by Joshua,
