Kyle Theodore Blueman was born in 1989. He was abandoned shortly after his birth. His mother was never traced and he spent his first seven years being raised by a succession of foster parents in South-west England. He joined CHERUB in 1997.

Kyle has excellent coordination and has mastered some hair-raising stunts on his skateboard. He doesn't like team sports, probably because he is smaller than most kids his age. However, Kyle's small size is an advantage on missions when an experienced agent is needed to fill the role of somebody young. He is highly capable in judo and karate, and is one of a small number of cherubs to have studied Thai kickboxing.

Kyle excels in all academic areas. However, a taste for practical jokes has given him a reputation for being disruptive in class. He likes skateboarding and legal shows on TV. He hates mess and homophobes.

Kyle is gay, and had his first boyfriend, Tom Carter, in Man vs Beast.

Role in the series

The Recruit

Kyle was the one who recruited James to CHERUB, and was later sent to recruit a child from a Glasgow foster home after he pressured James to tag along on a mission. He earnt his navy shirt soon after James.

Class A

Kyle was sent on a mission with James, Kerry and Nicole. During the mission, he admitted to James that he was gay.

After caught smoking cannabis, Kyle was punished by having to clear the ditches with Lauren.

Maximum Security

Kyle was involved in the punch-up at the bowling alley and sent on a recruitment mission.

Kyle had started a pirate DVD scheme, which, for once, for successful, until he employed Jake to help him with the business. Jake thought it a good idea to swap the labels for Harry Potter and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre; The Texas Chainsaw Massacre ended up at a six-year-olds' slumber party. It was implied Kyle got ditch-cleaning duty again.

The Killing

Kyle was captain of one of the teams in the training exercise, and had to go to hospital afterwards to have a brace put around his neck.

Divine Madness

Kyle came to see James, Lauren and Dana off at Heathrow.

Man vs Beast

Kyle went on the mission with James and Lauren. He got his first boyfriend in animal activist Tom Carter. Kyle was involved in the kidnapping of Nick Cobb, and later took him to hospital after Cobb was forced to swallow cleaning fluid. Kyle was later arrested, and officially commited suicide with a concealed knife while being escorted to prison.

Lauren mentioned early in the book that Kyle had recently been awarded the black shirt.

The Fall

Kyle was invited to James' fifteenth birthday bash.

Mad Dogs

Kyle concocted the scheme to get revenge on Large, and was expelled for his role in the plot, as he only had seven weeks left at CHERUB. He lodged at Meryl's house until after he had finished his maths A-levels, and then went on a round-the-world backpacking experience with his old friend Rod Nilsson.

The General

Rob has stated that Kyle will appear in The General.
