Born in 1992 as Ling Chang, Kerry Chang was found wandering the streets of Hong Kong in 1995. Her family remains unknown, though it has been suspected that they were one of many who killed when a large appartment block caught fire.

Profile
Spending many years as a red-shirt has helped Kerry become a great martial artist and, has won many karate awards on campus. Though has been unlucky to face a severe damage to her knee, that may require furthur surgery as she grows older. This has also lead to Kerry being excluded from any aggressive sports and unnecessary contact sparring. Though the precise form differs, it is relatively free-form fighting, with enough rules, customs, or agreements to make injuries unlikely) during combat training.
Kerry is bright, but prefers verbal and artistic subjects. She excels in foreign languages, and is fluent in Japanese, Spanish, French and Mandarin.
She enjoys watching soap operas, Rafael Nadal, eating Chinese food, playing football, and, of course, kicking arse.
But does have a few specific dislikes, inclding watching football, soggy bread and her persistant knee operations.

The Recruit
Kerry was James' basic training partner.
Class A
Kerry came on James' anti-drugs mission to divulge information about Keith Moore's drug-dealing activites from his daughter Erin. Although this failed, she managed to discover that a local factory was involved in the manufacture of cocaine.
Kerry and James started going out in this book.
Maximum Security
Kerry had been undercover in Japan for the last four months to infiltrate the Yakuza, and returned sometime before James did from the United States. She was awarded the navy shirt.
The Killing
Kerry broke up with James and refused to talk to him, even when she came down to Palm Hill to help him and Dave with their mission. At the end of the book, she started talking to James again but decided not to restart their relationship.
Divine Madness
Kerry went undercover in Hong Kong with Bruce and Kyle to stop young eco-terrorist Clyde Xu from blowing up an airplane. Just before James left for Australia, she said that she wanted to continue her relationship with him.
In the last chapter, it was mentioned that she had been undercover in Devon while James was inside the Ark.
Man vs Beast
Kerry slapped James for laughing at Shak's sexist joke.
The Fall
Kerry burst into tears when she found James had gotten off with Dana. When she saw them in the dining room, she started a food fight.
Mad Dogs
Kerry had been going out with Bruce for some time now. She was involved in the plot to get revenge on Large by setting James up with Hayley.
The Sleepwalker
Kerry applied for work experience at Stern and Frank, a London-based merchant bank, but instead got experience at Deluxe Chicken with James. After Danny tried to wind James up and hit Gemma, Kerry lost her temper and bashed Danny with a baseball bat. She got painting duty as punishment. While painting with James, she admitted that she still had feelings for him and even offered to have sex with him; James refused.
After Bruce returned from Australia, Kerry continued her relationship with him,but did not tell him about her snog with James.
The General
Kerry goes to vegas with the others. When James asks for a snog she turns him down.
Kerry had recieved her black shirt by now.
