The JT Martin youth centre was founded during the 1970s. It was owned and run by crime boss JT Martin. JT Martin had a boxing centre on the bottom floor and a youth centre on the top floor in which discos where held. When JT Martin was arrested in 1984, his driver Keith Moore took over the JT Martin Youth Centre. He used the youth centre to recruit cocaine dealers, the club was also a jym and a cocaine trade centre. Keith also took over the rest of JT Martin's vast empire. Keith had formally boxed at the Youth Centre. In late 2004 when Keith was imprisoned, no one funded the centre and it was subsequently shut down.
