Henderson's Boys (organisation)
From Chiki
Henderson's Boys was founded in 1942 by Charles Henderson, to help spy on the Nazis in occupied France. He got the idea after seeing the army sneak French boys, most freedom fighters, through checkpoints and question homesick soldiers. He got the idea for CHERUB after seeing how effective this was.
Obviously, it was, as in 1945, the organisation disbanded amd Henderson then decided to set up CHERUB in a unused village school. CHERUB was successful, and was given funding by the government after two cherubs undercovered Soviet spies within the VBritish nuclear weapons programme.
In 1946 Henderson was shot and killed by his wife. No one knew what CHERUB stood for, "but this was wartime, and you couldn't waste thousands of sheets of monogrammed notepaper, so the name stuck".CHERUB is now known to mean Charles. Henderson. Espionage. Research. Unit. B
Almost 60 years later, James Adams joined CHERUB, getting us back to the original series.
A book series entitled "Henderson Boys" is to be released in 2009 as an eight-part series. The first book, "The Escape", was released February 2009, the second, "Eagle Day", in June 2009, and the third "Secret Amy" in March 2010.
