Gwen Choke was James and Laurens mother, she ran a shoplifting empire from her armchair. She met James' father, James Duncan, when she was in her 20's she took him in. Then when James was a toddler she met Ron Onions who fathered her second child, Lauren.
Gwen suffered from various medical problems and while on medication for her leg she drank too much and slipped into unconsciousness before dying.
She started her shoplifting business when she was about 20.Soon her buiness got so big she could sit watching soaps all day and get other people to do the dirty work. That is how she got so fat. She had friend called Alan who helped her run her empire.
Gwen's mother said that she could not understand how Gwen had ended up marrying that idiot Ron when Alan lived just down the corridor.
