This article is having a lot of work done to it, but needs a helping hand.
Feel free to help out!

Welcome new members! This guide should help you get to grips with CHERUB Forums and Chiki, and understand what they both of them are and how to use them. You don't have to read through all of it, and please don't feel as though you have to, but it would be a good idea to understand the basics (especially the forum rules) before doing anything else.

If you have any questions, or want to know something that's not covered by this guide, leave a message on the guide's talk page (click the discussion tab at the top of this page), swing over to the forums, or email Rob - mail@cherubcampus.com

Okay - before we begin, we'll just explain what CHERUB Forums and Chiki are, and the differences between them.
Chiki is where you are now. It's a sort of encyclopedia about CHERUB that anyone can edit and contribute to. If you've ever used Wikipedia this should seem familiar to you. If you ever need to find something out about any of the CHERUB books, about anything on the Forums, about anything on CHERUB Campus, or about anything CHERUB related, Chiki is the place to be. Just type what you're looking for in the Search box (on the left hand side, under the navigation menu), hit enter, and you're finished. Because anyone can edit it, Chiki is constantly under construction, and is always being updated.

CHERUB Forums is probably the main reason you're here. CHERUB Forums is a place where CHERUB fans from all over the world meet, talk about CHERUB, other books, music, TV, and much more. In the past two years, CHERUB Forums members have waged war against each other, invaded the Anthony Horowitz forums, gone on and on and on and on about a certain CHERUB character being gay, covered themselves in honey, won t-shirts, dog tags, keyrings and books, seen saxsux dressed in a tutu, created websites and news reports for several of the ficticious organisations in CHERUB books, made Chiki, debated over what CHERUB actually stands for, watched a furby being microwaved, witnessed the rise and fall of nzer, annoyed Rob beyond belief, made thier own CHERUB merchandise, discovered Rob's personal telephone number, threatened to stalk each other, suffered as sacrifices to the Great Muchamorian Hoover... and so much more. Now all of them are now slightly madder thanks to it.

CHERUB Forums

First we'll talk about the forums. The forums are a place where you can discuss the CHERUB books, or practically anything else for that matter. In order to use the forums, you'll need to register at them (see below for how to register). Registering at the forums does not give you an account on Chiki - these are totally different sites. You will need to register at each individually.

Head of CHERUB Forums: Robert Muchamore

FAQ-By forum member Gunny.

1. How do I join? To join, click register in the top black bar and follow the prompts

2. Okay, I've joined. Now I want an avatar (small picture under your name) and signature (text which appears after every post) (note-I'll cover other ways you can change your profile while I'm here) Log in, and click 'Profile', then 'Modify Profile'. To change your screen name, go to 'Display Name' and type in a name. You can change this at any time-but if you do, people won't know who you are.

3. I hate being an orange shirt! How can I change? You will notice that there is a post count in your profile-shirts are awarded for a certain number of posts. Important is that you don't Spam, doublePost e.t.c. just to get your post count up. If you do so, a "Chairman" can easily reset your postcount!

  • 0-49 - Orange Shirt
  • 50-99 - Red Shirt
  • 100-199 - Blue Shirt
  • 200-499 - Grey Shirt
  • 500-999 - Navy Shirt
  • 1000-2499 - Black Shirt
  • 2500+ - White Shirt

4. So what do I do now? It is advised that you read the rules of the forum before you post for your safety and the sanity of others. Then you can get posting!

5. People hate me! What do I do? Try and change. Don't irritate people or flame them. Use correct grammar and people should like you. If they still don't its probably because you are a spammer. Noone likes a spammer.

Grammar The one thing that gets on everyone's nerves is noobs who ryt lyk dis cos dey fink its kl. Its not, get over yourself. Also DON'T WRITE LIKE THIS all the time- its classed as shouting. AgAiN tHiS iS sO nOt CoOl. Its hard to read and annoys everyone. Try to write in full sentances with correct capitalisation. That said avoid Writing Like This Because This Is Also Irritating. Correct capitalisation is when you write with a capital in the correct place - at the beginning of a sentance, for proper nouns and for the letter 'I'.

Staff Ranks

Chiki

Before editing, please read the Style Guide and follow it to the letter. Chiki has a lovely set of rules, which are nicely summed up at Chiki:Rules. It would be a good idea to have a look at these.
