Ernie Craig is a handsome sixty-something man with a bushy moustache who left his rowdy teenage children and job as a plumber to join the Survivors. He worked in the Ark as a mailman, and was convinced by Rat to help him, James, Lauren and five toddlers to lead them through a sewer to escape the Ark, which was under siege by the Australian military. Ernie was cautioned for various firearms offences in the aftermath of the Ark's explosion, and returned to the Brisbane commune. His claims that Rat survived the explosion and would return to lead the Survivors one day were dismissed, and he had to leave.
