Chiki:Gunny's Merit Badges

This is an official, accepted rule on Chiki. You are expected to understand and comply to it. You don't have to learn it by heart, but you should have a rough understanding of the proposals on this page. Please leave any questions of comments on this article's Talk Page.

Gunny's Merit Badges are a so series of merit badges that are awarded to Chikians for very special reasons, typically by a SysOp.

Chiki Medals

Chiki Medal of Honour

The Chiki Medal of Honour is the highest honour that can be estowed on a Chikian.

Chiki Silver Star

The Chiki Silver Star is awarded to Chikians who have done greater things.

Chiki Bronze Star

The Chiki Bronze Star is awarded to a Chiki member who has done great things.

Chiki Purple Heart

The Chiki Purple Heart is awarded to users who's pages have been vandalised.

Chiki Badges

Chiki Sapper

The Sapper badge is awarded to one has fixed* ten broken articles

Fixing

• Fixing is defined as:

• • Creating a disambig page

• • Retargeting a broken link

• • Fixing a large amount of spelling and grammar in a page

• • Reformating a page to the Style Guide guidelines

Chiki Editor's Badge and Chiki Expert Editor's Badge

The Chiki Editor's Badge is for those who have made five major edits to Chiki.

The Chiki Expert Editor's Badge is for those who have made ten major edits to Chiki.

Major Edits

Major edits are defined as the addtion of a minimum of 250 words with GOOD SPELLING AND GRAMMAR, and ADHERENCE TO THE STYLE GUIDE.

Chiki Tabs

NZer Alert Bueru Tab

This user has draw attention to a NZer account.

Stub Adopter Tab

This user has brought a stub out of stubbness

Grammar Enforcement Tab

This user regularly fixes grammar problems on Chiki

Chiki Project Tab

This user is a member of a Chiki Project

Vandalism Watch Tab

This user fixes vandalism and reports vandals

Notes

Medals

Medals denote long-term contributions to chiki. They are hard to get! (The exception is the Purple Heart, which is more of a Tab, but is grouped in the medal category)

Badges

A step down from medals, these have fixed conditions for awards. They require a certain number of actions to win.

Tabs

A tab is for a one off action: eg, reporting NZer once will get you the NZer Watch tab.

How to apply

To apply for a tab, badge or Purple heart, make an entry on my talk page with links to the approprate pages.

You cannot apply for medals, but you can nominate people for them on my talk page. Make sure you give reasons and/or links.

Stacking

Badges do not stack in any way. You can recive one of each badge.

Tabs do not stack-however if carry out the act numerous times you will recive a bar, which is a gold bar below your tab. This signifies the fact that you have earnt it more than once.

You can recive up to three of each medal. (Kudos to the first one to get three MoHs!)

Display

You can display your awards in two ways

Template Style

This uses the {{Meritbadge}} template.

It will look look like this:

Userbox Style

Merit Badges

If you would prefer to display your awards in one big group, like left, you can use this template:

You just need to check all the award image names and extensions. They should be in this order:
