Bethany Parker, born Elissa Bethany Paloma, is Lauren's best friend, although she doesn't get on well with James.
Bethany's parents died in a helicopter crash, and so she and her brother Jake went to live with their grandmother. However, the grandmother was diagnosed with severe Alzheimer's disease, so Bethany and Jake went to CHERUB.
Bethany is in a well-maintained state of fitness and has black belts in judo and karate, but suffers from occasional asthma attacks. Bethany is bright, but can sometimes be lazy in terms of academic study.
Lauren has persuaded Bethany to become vegetarian.

Role in the series
Class A
Bethany recieved gardening duty with Lauren after the two snuck up to Mac's window to watch James, Bruce and Gabrielle being punished. She later failed basic training after Lauren, who was her partner, knocked out Large with a spade.
Maximum Security
Bethany completes basic training.
Man vs Beast
Bethany is severely punished for helping Lauren - and James, who was blackmailed - smuggle pick-me-up packages into the basic training compound.
The Fall
Bethany was partnered with Lauren for the training exercise in the Yorkshire Dales.
The Sleepwalker
Bethany returned from an eight-month mission in the USA and Brazil. She got into an alternication with Tiffany, who called her flabby. Bethany later travelled down to London with Dave and McEwen to help Lauren and Jake place bugs in Hassam Bin Hassam's house.
Dark Sun
Bethany appears briefly, checking out the new library.
The General
Bethany was teamed with Lauren, Rat, Jake, Andy, Kevin and Ronan to infiltrate and vandalise an airport control tower for a training exercise.
